Brad Dalbeck……..This new and exciting venture developing Scollay Square is Brad’s first attempt at creating a concept of his own. Brad has been in the restaurant lifestyle for most of his career and this will be the culmination of his year’s experience. To accomplish this he is teaming up with long time associate and Executive Chef Chris Damian.

Brad has spent the past 25 years in different capacities of the restaurant industry from scooping ice cream to most recently owner/operator of Border Café restaurants in Saugus. He has touched both the corporate end as well as the entrepreneurial aspect of the business. Some of the corporate companies which he has been involved in with positions starting from manager to Regional Area Supervisor include T.G.I. Fridays, Chi-Chi’s Mexican Restaurant, El Torito’s Mexican Restaurant and Back Bay Restaurant Group (owners of Joes American bar, Pappa-razzi and J.C. Hillary’s).

After years in the corporate lifestyle he moved on to entrepreneurial companies and helped create what is known today as, The Border Café Restaurants and Jumbalaya’s Tex Mex restaurant. As a managing partner he was instrumental in creating some of the exciting concepts and service standards that make these restaurants successful today.

In his restaurant career Brad has been involved in volunteer groups such as The Massachusetts Restaurant Association, Saugus Chamber of Commerce and the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Board of Directors with the Mass. Restaurant Assoc. and on the executive Board of Directors of the Saugus Chamber. He has been involved in his own community as a coach in youth sports and most recently serving on the executive board of Youth Basketball serving as Treasurer. Brad is a family man , married 21 years to his wife Sandy and has three children ages 15, 12 and 8.

In his vast experience as a restaurateur, his experience in the community and involvement in volunteer groups he will put all this knowledge into creating what he hopes as a first class successful restaurant as well as a good community business partner.
